First Course with Hi-Spot Fairway Markers

First Course with Hi-Spot Fairway Markers

Brief History

Pioneering Clubs

The white dimpled Pop-up markers first appeared in 1994 on the well-groomed fairways of the Russley Golf Club in Canterbury, New Zealand, with the domed markers replacing posts and blocks at 135m.

They lasted surprisingly well, being exposed to the extreme weather conditions, regular mowing and high UV levels.

Safe and Long Lasting

Green-keepers trusted their mowers over the basic early models because at the heart was (and still is) the ever-resilient and shock-absorbing foam spring. The ideal guarantee against mower damage.

Today’s UV protected marker tops provide up to a decade of service, while the heavy duty rims introduced in 2002 look like lasting for twenty years plus.

 Clubs look to us when:

► Taking a decisive stand against slow play.

► Needing to retain and attract members by providing a level playing field for golfers not using laser or GPS.

► Wanting to avoid visitors holding up play looking for hard to find sprinkler heads and blocks.

► Committed to encouraging juniors and beginners to learn skills not easily acquired when using digital measuring devices (DMD’s) and random sprinkler yardages.

► Concerned that membership numbers are not what they need to be, and are looking for fresh ideas to increase family and junior memberships. (‘Family Tees’ and ‘Junior Tees’)
